Often refered to as Poor Man's Ginsengfor many Recipes that use Ginseng There is what is called a Poor Man's Modification. The Ren Shen(Ginseng root) in the Formula is Replaced with 2 -3 times as much Dang Shen (Root of Codonopsis). This is used when Ginseng is to expensive. Or simply when a weaker less warming effect is desired
