These are both very old Traditional Formulas, with a wide range of Patent Liniments and Plasters based from them. Though We believe this is the first time they have been sold as whole herb kits. Both formulas are for external use only, but both are very versatile and have several methods of preparation that work well. Including being made as die da jiu. The herb kits are packaged separately and should not be combined. Each herb kit is enough to make 1/2 gallon of Liniment. Sold Together because we feel they go hand and hand, formula #1 would be used for the first 2-3 Days after an injury and #2 would be used to follow through until the Injury is Healed. The Name Shuang Shang Fang translates as double injury formula(prescription). It refers to both of the Herb Kits Included. We have chosen to simply number the formulas. But once you make your liniment or poultice you can all them crouching blue tiger, hidden red dragon, peacock & phoenix, yin & yang, silver & gold or whatever else you like. As long as you know which is which and when to use them.

Formula #1 (Cool - Cold) This is a Very Cooling Formula for External Use on Inflammed Injuries. This is a Very Old & Versatile Formula, With a wide range of Patent Remedies based from it. Though We believe this is the First Time it has been sold as a whole herb kit. The Herbs in this formula Dispel blood Stasis, Drains Heat, Alleviates Pain, Strengthens Bones & Sinews, Cools Blood, Reduces Swelling, Invigorates the Blood, Promotes Healing Topically, Calms the Shen (spirit). This herb Kit is Very versatile because this Formula can be prepared in many different ways. Formula #1 Herbs Can Be:

Broken to Pieces by Hand or with a Mortar & Pestle and made in to a Liniment. The Herbs in this Kit are enough to make a 1/2 Gallon of Die Da Jiu, Age for at least 6 months (1 year is suggested). Or as another option prepared in with Oil (Safflower or Sesame)

Formula #2 (Neutral - Warm) This Formula is Slightly warming in nature. It is useful for Follow up treatment and massage of injuries that are past initial inflammation or are slow to heal. Also useful for older injuries that ache in the cold or sore joints. This is a Very Old & Versatile Formula, With a wide range of Patent Remedies based from it. Though We believe this is the First Time it has been sold as a whole herb kit. The Herbs in this formula Invigorates the Blood, Alleviates Pain, Breaks Up & Drives Out Blood Stasis, Unblocks the Channels, Helps Knit Sinews & Bones, Expels Dampness, Promotes Healing Topically, Calms the Shen (spirit). This herb Kit is Very versatile because this Formula can be prepared in many different ways. Formula #2 Herbs Can Be Prepared in all of the same ways as Formula #1. We Suggest making the Herbs in to 1/2 Gallon of Liniment for Injury Massage.
