  • These Prepared Tonics are Very Powerful & Concentrated, like every other preparation on our Website. Very little is used.
    One Eye Dropper or Small Cap of Tonic, 1 - 2 times a day is all that is needed. Whether taken for a Short or extended Time. Even this small amount can be dilluted with juice, tea or water or mixed into food.

    Size(2 or 8 oz.), Closure (Flat Cap or Eye Dropper), as Well as Glass Color (Blue Glass or Amber Glass) Each 2 Ounce Bottle Holds Approx. 80 Dropper or Small Cap Fulls (Both are almost Identical). At the Rate these Tonics are Supposed to be taken this is a 40 - 80 Day supply. Please do not let the size of the Bottle fool you. If bought in the 8 oz. Size only the Flat cap is available. This cap is larger then the caps for the 2 oz. bottles and only a 1/3 - 1/2 cap is used at a time.

  • Each Gallon of Tonic takes at least 6 weeks of aging before it is ready for use. We suggest a Minimum of 6 months,
    We recommend A full Year to Realize its full Potential.

  • Once Brewed This Tonic Will last a Life Time, So you will always have it ready when it is needed.

  • Alternatively Each Herb Kit Contains enough Whole Herbs to Make 1/2 - 1 Gallon of Decoction(Tonic Soup or Tea)
    according to other sites this is enough herbs to brew 2 - 2 1/2 Gallons.

  • Our Decoction Herb Kits Come with enough whole Herbs to Brew 2 - 10 Bowls of Tonic Soup or Tea (Depending on Formula).

  • As a General Rule of Thumb Hard and Dense Herbs Like Root are Cooked Longer than Light Herbs Such as Flowers and Resins also many fragrant Herbs Like Cinnamon, these lighter herbs are often added only in the last 10 Minutes of Cooking.
  • For many of the recipes that use Ginseng There is what is called a Poor Man's Modification.
    The Ren Shen(Ginseng root) in the Formula is Replaced with 2 -3 times as much Dang Shen (Root of Codonopsis). This is used when Ginseng is to expensive. Or simply when a weaker less warming effect is desired.
  • Decoctions Containing Ren Shen (Ginseng) or Ma Huang Should not be taken by those with high Blood Pressure or Heart problems
  • These Tonic Soups should be Taken Under the Supervision of a Trained Herbalist, or under the Advise of a T.C.M. Doctor
